Here's a full directory for each photo in A Month of Instax. They've all got a little story to tell so feel free to browse.
A Month of Instax
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen, Fourteen, Fifteen, Sixteen, Seventeen, Eighteen, Nineteen, Twenty, Twenty-One, Twenty-Two, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Four, Twenty-Five, Twenty-Six, Twenty-Seven, Twenty-Eight, Twenty-Nine, Thirty, and Thirty-One.
This little project has already seen it's first bit of press with a nice write up over at DesignWorkLife! Many thanks to those of you who've shared through comments and e-mails how you've been inspired by this in some way.
I've learned a lot about what works and what doesn't work with my Instax Wide in the last 31+ days and will no longer forget to adjust my lens when I'm further than 3 feet from my subject. I'm sure you can spot the blurry ones.
If you've been thinking about an instant film camera I have nothing but good things to say about my Instax 210. It shoots wide film and feels about as close to traditional Polaroid film as you can get (without having a standard Polaroid) because of it's size. You can find them all on various sites but I got mine on Amazon.
I buy all of my film in bulk to save a little on cost and try to ration packages. Haha! You can expect to pay a little less than $18.00 for a box of twenty photos. Two packs of 10 come in each box.
I've never owned an Instax Mini but have had a few photos given to me by friends that own them. They are pretty adorable!
If you've got an Instax I'm sure you know exactly how it feels to open a fresh pack of film. I'd love to know how you display yours.
Do you keep them in a tin, on your wall, in an album? Do you reserve them for special things? Friends and family photos only?
xoxo,
Rachel
P.S. I'm an affiliate with Amazon. If you click through on one of these links and make a purchase I receive a small commision. I paid for my camera and pay for my film with my own money and only refer products to you that I get excited about myself.

I've really enjoyed your instax journey, and can't believe it's over already! I'm sure the time crawled by for you, though.

This is such a cool project--I'm trying really hard to keep a pregnancy/summer time journal and never remember to get photos printed (or some of my favorite moments are captured via iphone) so all of my pages so far just include lists and journaling. This would be a really great journaling/mini album project. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Rahcel!
I have an instax mini, and I made a cute garland to display them!
I took a long sparkly piece of string, and tied tiny litty pieces of scrap fabric every few inches. THEN I took teeny little colorful clothes pins from the craft store, and hung my little instax mini photos on them. its adorable! You can see a photo on my most recent blog entry.

This series was made even cuter by photoing them all on vintage fabric! Love it! Reminded me of how Adaiha displays her granny-a-days here:

Hey Rachel!! Thank you for this post! I have an instax mini and really love it. I take it with me when we take road trips and always put together a little road trip journal. We just renovated an older motorhome and I'm now taking the camera with me on our camping trips. I have a little scrapbook I'm making documenting our camping trips. :)

I've been eyeing the wide format 210 and was planning to purchase one anyhow. I'll purchase through your link! Glad to know you'll get something good out of it! :)

I've loved reading about this project and seeing your photos. I've been wanting to get my own camera, but didn't really know what to get. I'm so excited! I just bought it and the film and can't wait to get them. :)

I just found your blog a few weeks back and didn't really get the "A month of instax"-thingy until now. Now that I understand that you've been taking a photo every day while Brett's been away - I just love it. It's such a brilliant idea and inspired me to want to do something similar. So now I've hinted to my fiance that I really NEED this camera for my birthday, August 25. Do you think he'll get me one?

or, alternatively, you could have called it "a month of delicious vintage fabrics"
(they were pretty distracting!)

I am seriously thinking about getting myself the 210.... I was going to put it on my Christmas wishlist, but that's so far away! ha.
I have the mini (which you knew) and I took photos of Delilah's first days, and all of her visitors, in a little wee album. It'll be hers when she moves out. :)
I like to gift my photos in hand written notes and cards, too. I'll often bring it to a wedding, snap a few photos, and put them in with their wedding presentation card, so they have a little surprise when they open it. xo
ps: I think you've inspired me to do a blog post about my little album!
