I've been working on a project with Elsie this month that is almost ready to share with everyone. It's come at an appropriate time it seems as one season is about to end and another begins both in the natural world and in our lives as a family. I've been able to use this as an opportunity to look back on the last few years captured on instant film and enjoy corners of our old homes, favorite weekend trips, and our dearest friends that we left behind in Springfield. I've been missing all of it lately but trying to keep a healthy perspective of where I am geographically and how to enjoy this chapter of our life.
Brett got some news that we are so thankful for last week. I can't share anything here just yet because Army life is not only subject to privacy, it can also change from one day to the next. Right now we are enjoying the latest and growing new hopes for our time here in Colorado Springs (no, we are not pregnant).
In the meantime, I've returned to the medium that always does my heart good and always leaves a mess on the table. Details to follow.
