Once upon a time, I found a sweet little pair of brown boots. They were a few sizes too big so they were stashed in the plastic tub for future use. One day all the other shoes were missing their mate so I went digging and found them. We tried them on and they finally fit!
They were looking a little sad, though. I asked Ruby what we should do to cheer them up and she decided new pink shoelaces would do the trick. I cut one lace in half and we suddenly had a magical pair of boots.
This little lover of pink may not ever take them off again.
