We had grand plans of finding a pumpkin patch and making some cold memories among rows of corn with hot chocolate in hand. We got there four hours after closing though, so Plan B was to find some woods to romp through. We drove up to the base of Helen Hunt falls where it was 32 degrees and we could see snow on the treetops a bit further up the mountain. We were going to make a quick stop for a few photos but then Sebastian demanded we follow a trail and what was going to be a slightly unexciting trip suddenly turned into something special. I think going a bit deeper into the woods can do that.
Colorado in the fall might be my favorite so far.
