We recently thrifted this tutu swimsuit from the Halloween costume section at one of our favorite thrift stores. Ruby has worn it regularly since and decided that even though these shoes are too small, they are her 'ballerine' shoes. Brett showed her how to pirouette and she hasn't looked back. It's all ballerine and princess skirts over here these days. With the chance of snow on Saturday I may need to invest in some thick wool tights for this little dancer!
Did you do ballet as a kid? I have fun memories of sitting in a circle and doing our warm up toe points and dancing to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star at our recital. So many of my friends' little girls are taking or have taken ballet and I've literally been waiting for the day Ruby was interested in and old enough to take classes. I'll be doing some checking at the downtown YMCA!
This little girl is turning three in one month. ONE MONTH! I have no good ideas for her party yet but I'm sure that will come in the eleventh hour. Something pink and she'll be happy.
