Last weekend we got a pretty decent snowfall-the kind where you don't immediately hit concrete when you walk across your driveway. It was too dry and powdery for snowmen or snowballs but we still had a great time layering up and treking to our favorite park to run around. We were able to use our sled for the first time (thanks, Mom) and made a few snow angels before someone had to go number two. I made a makeshift dog coat for Sunday from an old thrifted coat because it was about 9 degrees and she isn't very fluffy. The kids spent a lot of time eating snow and Brett and I spent a lot of time pulling Ruby in the sled.
As a California native I still get as excited about snow as the kids. I can't wait for the next storm to roll through and coat our town in another quiet layer of pure (freezing) joy.
