There has been lots of crafting this week in between looking for yellow leaves and other interesting fall adventures. I spent most of this morning hanging out at Elsie's house shooting a fun video with Red Velvet and have another fun shoot to go to on Wednesday. It's been a full week but it's also provided us with great distractions as we miss Brett being here to join in on the chaos fun.
Thank you for all of Ruby's birthday wishes on the last post and twitter! If she knew the kind of attention she was getting it'd blow her mind.
I hope you're having a lovely week! How many of you are already thinking about putting up your Christmas decorations? How many of you actually have?
xo,
Rachel
lol I'm thinking about Christmas decorations and no tree yet. ;) Although,it's not even Thanksgiving yet,so I really don't know WHAT I am thinking. I love those pretty leaves. :)

My Christmas tree is in its box waiting (allergic to evergreens) and my Santa Christmas topper is on my book shelf. Can't wait. :)

agh! It's a good thing the Christmas tree farms aren't open yet or I'd be decking my house already!

Love that first photo and the cute doll too! Ruby's party looked awesome, I love how you used so much fabric throughout the decor.
I'm trying to hold off until the weekend after Thanksgiving for Xmas decorations, but it's so hard!

I forced myself to decorate for Thanksgiving with a flock of tissue honeycomb turkeys, but the aluminum Christmas tree in the garage is calling my name. It is ON on November 25th! =)

I spent the past weekend at my mother's husband's 80th birthday celebration. Part of the weekend was going through boxes mom has and deciding what, if anything, we girls wanted. Face it, the boys don't care. We opened a box of Christmas decorations. There were the very old ornaments and a garland I remember on the trees when I was little. "You're getting rid of this stuff?" I asked. "I have no place for it and trees are a chore for us," mom said. Trees are a chore for me, too, but I couldn't let the ornaments go. Now to come up with an idea for displaying the ornaments and the garland that won't invite the cats' curiosity.

Paint chips are one of my most favorite things to collect/spread out and look at/ get inspired by. :)

I love the palette for the paint chip project!
I'm amazed at how you manage with Brett being away for such long stretches...my husband travels for work half the week and just that alone is such intense parenting!
No holiday decorations yet...we're disoriented due to the cancelling of Halloween from a wild freak blizzard last week. But soon! :)

i'm probably going to put up my christmas stuff on friday. it seems a shame to pull down the halloween, get everything back to normal, then put up christmas in a few weeks.

No Christmas decor just yet, but I have picked up a few thrift items for when the time comes! Love the yellow and pink pictures. My favorite color duo when I was a little girl :)

Okay...so to be truthful...this weekend I plan to scrub the house...because I'm hosting Thanksgiving for the whole family. I also plan to have the house Christmas'd up for everyone! I wear a green and red striped adult onesie, crank up the Xmas tunes, and decorate till my hearts content! :) I should probably take pictures and post them this year...okay...I will! :) Hearts, janna lynn

I can't let myself move on to Christmas just yet, so for now I'm brainstorming decor ideas for Thanksgiving. But, that She + Him Christmas album is just staring me in the face -- I may break down soon...
xx.
