We celebrated Halloween growing up by going trick-or-treating in homemade costumes and bringing home crafts from school. We didn't really deck the place out and as much as I enjoy other people's enthusiasm for Halloween splayed across their lawn in the form of RIP signs, I've never been one to put a lot of effort into it other than to put a few pumpkins out.
Last year I got a little more excited and put some fake cobwebs up on the front porch and made a bat garland but that's all I could muster. This year I'm hoping to make it more fun since both kids are old enough to really remember things.
Halloween decor details: Wreath, handmade by me. Owl print, OwlyShadowPuppets. Everything else, thrifted.
I'm not planning on making RIP signs for our yard but I am enjoying a little bit of fun spookiness inside. Do you get excited about decorating for Halloween or do you save it up for Christmas?
