Colorado Springs got it's first real snowfall two weeks or so ago. It didn't stick around too long but it did entice us to get out in it a bit. I bundled the kids and Sunday up and drove them out to Bear Creek Park while the snow fell and took a little hike through the pines. We only stayed out until we couldn't feel our toes anymore but that was long enough to enjoy the quiet.
These two and their superhero poses.
Sebastian's top front teeth are both loose so I wanted to get possibly one last shot of that great baby tooth smile! I tried pulling it last weekend and almost passed out. I'm hoping it comes out at school or waits until someone else is around to take care of it!
Sunday just wanted to sniff everything. I like to bring her out for exercise but it also makes me feel a bit safer to know she can hear better than I can - you know, just in case a mountain lion decided to trail us. Yes, I think about that every time!
I can't wait to be ankle deep in the snow soon. Remind me how excited I was when I start complaining how long it takes to put on all of that snow gear.

they are so adorable, rachel! michael was looking for bears and animals as we hiked and i was praying we wouldn't. ;) we saw a wild goat pretty close but that was it.

Love these photos! I've heard that sniffing around actually takes a lot of energy, so she is exercising even though it's probably real annoying!

Lovely post :) the ABM cape suits you perfectly too! It's so strange to think you guys have mountain lions and other scary beasties! England is pretty boring on that front. As for teeth.. ohmygosh i'm dreading the day I have to deal with that kind of thing.
